Everybody is welcome to the event Professors for the Future which will be held at KTH on 17 November. This is when people will be able to meet KTH's new professors and honorary doctors, to hear their thoughts on the future of current areas of research.

You will be able to hear panel discussions and lectures, followed by a buffet and mingling when the audience will be given the chance to meet the professors of the future at KTH's campus at 1 p.m.–5.30 p.m. on Thursday 17 November.

“A major contrast to earlier years is that we will have an external moderator at the panel discussions rather than an internal debate leader,” says Gunnar Ivmark, from the research department, responsible for planning the event.

The writer and TV personality Johanna Koljonen will be leading the panel discussions, which will be divided into four subject areas:

- Architecture and the Built Environment
- Biotechnology, Chemical Science and Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology
- Industrial Engineering and Management

Visitors will be able to listen to the professors' thoughts on the future for operations at KTH, and hear their visions for the coming years, with a focus on their areas of research.

Each panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer session where participants can meet with scientists and ask questions.

“My hope is that many KTH employees from all categories will come to listen to the panel discussions and to the honorary doctors,” says Gunnar Ivmark.

At the buffet which will finish off the event, professors, doctors and other participants will be given the opportunity to mingle and discuss matters over a bite to eat and a glass of wine.
